Booking Engine

Built to sell the way you actually sell

Most booking software was built to sell rooms by the night. Bookinglayer's booking engine sells the stay and the experience together, in one flow, within your own website.

Your way of selling

Your retreat starts on the 14th. The software should know that.

Fixed start dates. Saturday-only arrivals. Minimum stays. Prices that move by season, length of stay, group size, or age. Generic booking software treats these as exceptions to work around. Here they are the settings the flow is built from. You define how you sell & the flow only offers what can actually be booked.

Your Rules

Retreat runs March 14 to 21? Check-ins on Saturdays only? The calendar offers exactly what your model allows, nothing else.

Pricing calculation

Price by date, length of stay, season, group size, or age. The flow works it out during booking, so nobody has to email a quote.

Package builder

Bundle the room, the activities, the meals, and the extra services into one bookable package with one price.

Multi-step flows

Flows with multiple steps and categories, shaped to your offer rather than a generic template.

Application flows

For vetted or invite-only programs: the guest applies first, you approve, they complete the booking through a private link.

What you sell

A booking flow that becomes your business partner

Rooms, dorm beds, sessions, rentals, and meals draw from the same real-time availability, so the flow never sells what isn't there. And while the guest books, the flow does the selling you'd otherwise do by email: the upgrade, the add-on, the airport transfer, offered at the moment they're already paying.

One availability

Rooms and activity spots come from one live inventory. When the last surf spot goes, the flow stops selling it.

Rules apply themselves

Gender dorm logic, single room supplements, child rates. Your rules run during booking, not in cleanup afterward.

Upsell inside the flow

Equipment rental, spa treatments, airport pickup. Offered while the card is already out, not through an email later.

Groups without the email chain

One organizer, one booking, the whole group's rooms and activities configured inside it. Paid by one or split between the group.

Perfect branding

The experience begins at the booking, not at the welcome drink

Your marketing brings the guest here, then hands them to a generic third-party page? Most software treats the booking as paperwork. We don't. Run the flow whichever way fits: embed it directly into your own site, or on a branded subdomain. With your logo, colors & typography, from first click to confirmation.

Embed it in your site

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or custom-built. The flow lives inside your pages, an equal option, not a workaround.

Branded subdomain

For example bookings.yourdomain.name, carrying your brand end to end.

Theme editor, custom CSS

Match colors, typography, and layout with the theme editor. Custom CSS when you want it exact.

Deep links

Send ads, emails, and posts straight to a specific package, date, or entry point in the flow.

Your guest data stays yours

Bookings land in your Backoffice, not in a marketplace's database.

Data collection

Ask less in the flow, collect everything later.

Most software forces a choice. Ask for everything during booking or keep it short and spend the weeks before arrival chasing the same answers by email. Bookinglayer splits the load between the Booking flow and a customer portal. Conversion stays high. The data arrives anyway.

Customise each step

Ask exactly what each step needs, nothing more.

Dietary requirements

Collected once, structured, ready to land on your chef's list.

Digital waivers

Signed before arrival, stored with the booking.

GDPR-compliant

Guest data collected in one compliant place, not across email threads.

More capabilities

Multi-language

Guests book in their own language.

Multi-currency

Prices in the currencies your guests think in.

Mobile-responsive

The full flow, on a phone, without compromise.

SSL secured

Every step of the flow encrypted.

Google Analytics

Track the full funnel from landing page to payment.

Special offers

Discount codes and offers, inside the flow.

Customer Portal

Between the moment a guest pays and the moment they arrive, most software goes quiet. The portal makes that gap productive.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is a Booking Engine?

Bookinglayer’s Booking Engine lets guests complete bookings directly on your website, without routing through a third party. Payments go directly into your account, so no marketplace takes a cut or inserts itself between you and the guest. You keep the guest relationship and the margin.

Bookinglayer sells accommodation and activities together in that one flow, so a room, a session, an add-on, and a payment plan can all sit inside a single booking rather than being pieced together afterward.

Can guests book accommodation and activities in one flow?

Yes, with Bookinglayer you can sell accommodation and activities in one flow. Bookinglayer is built around packages; a guest selects a room and activities such as a surf lesson or a yoga class in a single checkout, and both live on one guest record. That shared record prevents the common failure mode of a room being confirmed while the matching activity slot fills up elsewhere, or a payment being logged against one but not the other.

Does the Booking Engine live on our own website?

Yes. Bookinglayer sits on your own domain (bookings.yourdomain.name), so guests complete the booking without leaving your site or landing on a third-party marketplace page. It also generates a link you can drop into social posts, email campaigns, or ads, sending traffic straight into a flow that stays on your domain and keeps the guest data with you rather than a listing site.

How does the Booking Engine look?

Bookinglayer’s Booking Engine looks and feels like your own website.

It is configured in Sales Module > Booking Engine, where you set colors, fonts, and logo so the checkout matches your existing site. Since each account configures its own layout, no two Booking Engines look alike. Guests move from your homepage into checkout without a visual break that signals they have left your site.

Can we set our own booking rules?

Yes, rules are set as part of package creation. This covers things like minimum stay length, cutoff windows before arrival, fixed start dates, gender dorm logic, single-room supplements, child rates, and prices that vary by season, length of stay, group size, or age. You can also set which items can or cannot be combined. You define the logic once at the package level, and every booking coming through the engine follows it automatically.

These are settings the flow is built for, not exceptions to work around.

Can guests pay in their own currency and language?

Yes, Bookinglayer supports multiple languages and currencies.
